Brian Matthys, DO
Dr. Matthys, DO, founded Sunflower Dermatology and Medical Day Spa in 2004 and partnered with Epiphany Dermatology in January 2021. He received a Human Biology Degree from the University of Kansas and completed medical school at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Matthys is a member and past president of Kansas City Dermatologic Society. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Photobiology, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Matthys is a participant of Northland Healthcare Access. He is the co-founder of Fair and Fashionable™, a charitable organization created to transform the belief that tanned skin is healthy, beautiful and in-style. He is the creator of eco-sport®, AVOIDTHEBURN®, and EclipseRX®.
Molly B. Menser, DO
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Menser, DO, is a Kansas City trained dermatologist. She is a 2007 graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she was presented the President’s Award a top honor given by the University President. She completed her internship at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her dermatologic training followed at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she received the KU Student Voice award for excellence in clinical teaching, twice.
While completing her training in dermatology, Dr. Menser developed a passion for educating children, adolescents and adults on the prevention of skin cancer. Dr. Menser is a board certified dermatologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association.
Nicholas A. Rudloff, DO
Dr. Rudloff, DO, was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa in 2008 where he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi Osteopathic Honor Society.
Dr. Rudloff is board certified in Internal Medicine having completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine through the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He served as Chief Resident for the program in 2010-2011. He completed a second residency in Dermatology through the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as the Dermatology Chief Resident in 2013-2014. Dr. Rudloff is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Osteopathic Association. He is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Lynn Swafford, PA-C
Lynn Swafford, PA-C, was born and raised in central Kansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kansas State where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to complete her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Wichita State University.
In her second year of Physician Assistant training, Lynn was given the opportunity to complete a clinical rotation in Dermatology where she developed a passion for caring for those with skin disease. Lynn is an acne specialist. Lynn dealt with acne as an adolescent and young adult so she understands the daily struggle of living with acne and is dedicated to caring for those facing the same struggle.
Carolyn Mense, PA-C
Carolyn Mense, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant and is experienced in the treatment and diagnosis of many skin-related health concerns, including acne, skin cancer, and diseases of the hair and nails, to name a few. Carolyn has assisted pre- and post- operatively during several Mohs surgeries for skin cancer treatment.
Carolyn received her BS in Life Science from Kansas State University and her MS in Physician Assistant Studioes from University of Nebraska Medical Center. She takes great pride in treating patients of all ages, from pediatric patients to the elderly.
